Custom internal tool for a Czech technical distributor — replacing manual Excel/Word quotation workflows with a structured import pipeline, product catalogue, and branded export system.
01 · The Challenge
A Czech distributor of technical products managed thousands of SKUs across multiple suppliers. Every quotation was assembled by hand: opening each supplier's XLSX price list, copy-pasting products into Word, recalculating margins and the EUR/CZK exchange rate in a separate spreadsheet, then sending a PDF by e-mail. Old quotations became unreliable whenever product data changed. Pricing knowledge lived in individual files rather than a shared system.
02 · The Solution
We built a structured internal platform that replaced the entire workflow. A 7-phase import pipeline with a visual column-mapping wizard ingests price lists in any supplier format. A central catalogue with full-text search and 10+ attribute filters replaces manual lookup. Quotations export as PDF in two variants — customer-facing and internal with purchase prices — or as supplier-specific XLSX order files. A snapshot pattern freezes each quotation at creation: historical offers stay byte-identical even if products are later deleted or repriced.
